The founding ten emmerging artists of The ARt TreeGroup created an exciting body of work on the topic of Humanity. Over 400 people from all over Sydney attended the opening night Gary Highland, founder of ANTaR opened the Humanity exhibition with a moving speech on the plight of indigenous and non-indigenouse Australians working together to achieve true reconcilliation. Each artist (see photo below) donated one artwork to a Slient Auction which began openning night and ran for 2 weeks at Mary Place Gallery, Paddington The ARt Tree successfully raised $2000 in 2008 for ANTaR - Australians for Native Title and Reconcilliation The ARt tree Group has an ongoing commitment to raise awareness and funds for grass root charitable organisation as well as support emmerging artists. Music on opening night was by Michael Birk |
